Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had everything you might need in terms of facilities but was very noisy, causing the room to have an aroma of stagnant water. The layout of the room with a step between the bathroom and room, along with lots of low corners, was uncomfortable. The attic room ended up being in the roof space with lots of low beams, making the whole experience very uncomfortable.
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms were spacious and clean, but a bit in need of some touching up here and there. I enjoyed a delicious dinner in the cozy dining area and had a few drinks in the bar. The location was convenient, just a 5-minute walk into town. However, my room on the ground level facing the road had a single-pane, poor-fitting sash window which let in some noise.
The hotel is tucked away in a corner near the High Street, offering clean and quiet rooms with tea-making facilities. It retains the charm of older hotels, although the rooms can get rather hot being on the top floor. The service is top-notch with extremely friendly and welcoming staff, and the brilliant location allows for easy exploration of Cirencester. The dining experience is excellent, with freshly cooked meals setting you up for the day. The facilities are well-kept, providing a cozy and comfortable stay.
